A 2026 walkthrough of newer tools, from the colour picker and fill options to editable lettering and text on a path. Try each tool on a disposable practice file before changing a larger project.
Places to begin.
A small exercise.
Step 01
A disposable page
Create a small practice document with a rectangle, a curved path, and two short lines of your own text.
Step 02
Compare two settings
Try one new tool twice with different settings. Keep both results beside one another so the difference is visible.
Step 03
Keep the words readable
Use a plain typeface and a short line. Check the spacing, curve and contrast at the size someone will actually read.
Step 04
Save the source
Save an editable copy and a small export. Open the export once to check it before using it elsewhere.
Keep a copy.
