Work with vector prints

Adapt the field collection for a cover, a card, or a page.

The field collection contains original SVG prints and PNG grain textures. The prints are small editable vector files. The textures are fixed-size raster images. Treat them as starting material: choose one element, make an export, and judge it in the context of your own work.

Choose a quiet composition

For a cover or card, leave room for a title before adding decorative detail. Moss contours and Tidal lines place the strongest shapes away from part of the canvas. Soft arches and Clay rhythm use repeating geometry, which can be useful as a background or a cropped panel.

The SVG files use a 1600 × 1200 coordinate space. Their shapes can be scaled in an SVG-capable editor. Changing the surrounding canvas or crop is a creative choice; keep a copy of the downloaded source before adjusting the artwork.

Use textures with restraint

The PNG textures are 1536 pixels square and opaque. Their small colour variations can add a paper-like surface to a background or mockup. The resource thumbnails illustrate the palette and feel; download the PNG to use the actual pixel pattern. The collection does not claim that these images are seamless tiles.

Prepare an export

  1. Choose a print or texture from the resource library.
  2. Open it in an editor that supports its format.
  3. Create a separate export at the dimensions your project needs.
  4. Use Image desk to resize an exported PNG, JPEG, or WebP if necessary.
  5. Keep the original artwork and the project file together.

The downloadable assets are available under CC0 1.0. You can use and adapt them in personal or commercial projects without attribution. See the README included with the complete collection for the scope of the files.
