A longer painting session, with the setup, early ideas, drawing, colour, and final adjustments kept together. Some repetitive painting is shown in time-lapse in the original lesson.
Places to begin.
A small exercise.
Step 01
Three tiny studies
Try three simple arrangements before choosing one. Focus on large shapes and where the eye goes first.
Step 02
Keep the stages
Save a copy after the sketch, after the first colour pass, and before the final adjustments.
Step 03
One focused revision
Choose one thing to improve: the light, the silhouette, or the background. Avoid changing everything at once.
Step 04
A useful comparison
Make a small export of the first and final versions. Keep the source files beside them in a project folder.
Keep a copy.
