A Malaysian 2024 talk about improving a page through measured, limited experiments. The examples compare headlines, forms, navigation and checkout details. Reported percentages describe the presenter’s historical case studies; they are not expected results for another website.
Places to begin.
A small exercise.
Step 01
One clear outcome
Choose an ordinary task, such as finding a product detail or sending a relevant enquiry. Write what a successful visit would mean.
Step 02
A modest hypothesis
Pick one change: a clearer heading, a simpler field label, or a more visible search box. Explain why it might help.
Step 03
Compare fairly
Keep the other parts of the page consistent. Use sufficient observations and record uncertainty before drawing a conclusion.
Step 04
Keep a dated decision
Save the two versions and a short note about the result. Keep, revise or undo the change based on what the evidence supports.
